Reading

At Burley Gate, we value reading as a key life skill and we are committed to enabling our pupils to become lifelong readers. We believe reading is key for academic success.

At Burley Gate CE Primary School our Phonics scheme we use is called 'Little Wandle' and our reading scheme is called 'Big Cat Collins'. The reading scheme compliments our phonic scheme and offers structured reading books from EYFS to Year 6.
