The Parents and Friends of Burley Gate School (PFA) is an association formed in 1984, whose main aims are to promote mutual understanding between parents and teachers, to help raise funds for the benefit of the school and to help organise meetings of educational interest.

The PFA. has a membership which includes the parents, teaching and non teaching staff, governors, friends of the school, members of the community and all of the children that attend Burley Gate Primary School.

The PFA is a thriving association who run a number of successful fundraising events throughout the year which include an annual Christmas Craft Fayre, Fun Day, Quiz Evenings, Basket Bingo Bonanza and many more.

We are also involved in activities that contribute to the Home School Partnership agreement, arranging family days, trips and social events.

New recruits are always needed and we welcome members who would like to offer their help – whether it is joining the committee or helping at events.

Value of the Month

Throughout the year we take a different Christian value each month which forms the basis of our times of worship.

We also take opportunities throughout the month to teach the children how they can show this value at school and at home.
