| On behalf of the Governors and Staff of Burley Gate C of E (Church
of England) Primary School, may I welcome
you to our website, which has been designed to help
you learn about our school and the facilities it
provides for pupils aged 5 - 11 years. |
| Enjoy reading the information we have provided,
and if you are interested in knowing more about
how the school can meet your family's unique needs,
please do not hesitate to contact me. |
| Burley Gate Primary School was opened in 1972
as a result of the closure of several small schools
in the neighbouring villages. The school considers
itself to be an 'area' primary school and believes
that it has a part to play in the community maintaining
strong links with the Church, pre-school and other local groups. |
| Burley Gate Primary School is situated in the
centre of a rural area recognised for its outstanding
natural beauty. The spacious grounds and panoramic
views surrounding the school ensure a beautiful,
calm and stimulating environment. |
| Each child receives a broad and balanced curriculum
relevant to his/her particular needs. We aim to
develop the spiritual, moral, cultural, aesthetic
opportunities, responsibilities and experiences
of later life. The National Curriculum forms a major
part of, but not the complete curriculum of the
school. |
| We provide a secure, caring, happy
and stimulating environment in which pupils are
challenged and share with their teachers in the
opportunities provided for learning. An active approach
to learning is encouraged. |
| We hope that your child will be
very happy at Burley Gate Primary School and that
through the years we can work together to ensure
that your child is able to fulfil his/her potential
whilst at our school. |
